Violent Femmes at The Espee

No opener? No problem! Iconic folk-punk outfit the Violent Femmes made a special appearance at The Espee in Historic St. Paul's Square last night, and we were lucky enough to join in on the fun! Performing two sets with a brief intermission in between, the band performed their debut self-titled album, along with one of the best (biased? maybe!) albums within their discography, Hallowed Ground.

The covered amphitheater and general admission areas were packed with fans from across the city, some even outside city limits. The constant wave of stage lights filled the space, set to a backdrop of Sunset Station, the Alamodome, and the Tower of the Americas, making it easy to understand why this venue is so special.
